Privacy policy

The Ember Shift (“we”, “us”) runs this website at theembershift.com. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it. The short version: we collect your email address if you give it to us, we use it to send you things you asked for, and we do not sell it.

What we collect

• Your email address and first name, if you sign up for the free kit or the newsletter. This is stored with our email provider, Kit (kit.com).
• Order information, if you buy something. Payment is handled by our checkout provider — we never see or store your full card details.
• Basic site analytics, if analytics are enabled: pages visited, rough location by country, and the kind of device used. This is not tied to your name.

What we do with it

• Send you the resource you requested, and a weekly email.
• Deliver anything you purchase, and provide support for it.
• Understand which articles are useful, so we write more of those.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Unsubscribing

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. You can also email us and ask to be removed, or ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies required for it to work and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics. Our email and checkout providers may set their own cookies when you use their forms; their policies govern those.

Other people’s links

Articles here link to outside sites, including government agencies and, sometimes, products we recommend. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy applies, not ours.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
